Import trades from a CSV file

Export fills from your platform and add them to a trading account.

Importing a file works on every plan and is the quickest way to get history in. Export your fills or orders from your trading platform as CSV, open Accounts, pick the account and choose Import CSV.

Pick the time zone your platform wrote the times in. The importer reads each row, matches fills into round-trip trades (first in, first out) and shows what it found before anything is saved.

Rows it can't read are listed with the reason, so you can fix the file and try again. Trades from a file are never marked verified: only trades that arrive from a connected broker are.

If the numbers look wrong

Check the time zone first: a wrong zone moves trades to the wrong day. Then check the symbol: contract specs decide what a point is worth, and an instrument the journal doesn't know is flagged instead of guessed.

Still off? Send us the file's first few rows (remove account numbers) from the contact page and we'll look.
